Provident Fund
IMPORTANT: Retirement reform Provident Fund - changes effective 1 March 2021
The government recently made some changes to tax laws regarding what you can do with your money when you retire from a provident fund. The changes only affect you if you are younger than 55, and if you are going to be retiring from your retirement fund. The changes do NOT affect you if you are 55 or older on 1 March 2021, or if you are resigning from your job.

You can select a contribution rate of between 5% and 27.5% but it is recommended that you select the highest contribution rate you can afford but at least a minimum of 12.5%.
